Executive Board

Our Executive Board consists of 6 members that are elected each year by the general ASAG members:

President: Gabi Guon

I'm a 5th year student studying Psychology and Data Science that served previously as the VP of PR. I'm proud to help create a supportive and compassionate environment for students seeking help. With experience working on the dual diagnosis unit of an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a personal connection to addiction, I'm passionate about raising awareness and offering support.

Vice President: Matias Gonzales

I am a second-year student studying Political Science. This year I am hoping to spread more awareness not only on our campus but in our surrounding community that a supportive community and help is more available than some people may think. I am passionate about the mission of our club because I have seen first hand how important it is to have a community when struggling with addiction.

VP of Public Relations: Eunseo Kwak

My passion for addiction awareness and harm reduction comes from watching a close friend struggle with addiction and eventually losing 5 of my hometown friends to fentanyl overdose. My goal is to create a community at Northeastern where people aren't afraid to get help.

Treasurer: Connor Howell

I am a fourth year student studying Psychology and Business. I am passionate about raising awareness surrounding the dangers of substance abuse. These issues can be particularly pervasive in college aged individuals, and I hope that by working with ASAG I can contribute to a safe space to learn and share.

VP of Media: Fiorella Garcia

I am a fourth year Health Science and Psychology student at Northeastern. I joined ASAG because I agree that more needs to be done to reduce the stigma against addiction, and help those who struggle with it. The media is such an impactful tool in our generation and I believe it is pivotal in spreading such awareness. This is my second time serving as our VP of Media.

Founder: Olivia (Liv) Mitrano

"I created this organization because I recognized that there was a lack of resources and support for people struggling with addiction on campus at Northeastern in 2022. The goal of this organization is to educate the community and reduce the stigmas surrounding addiction so that people understand that it is an illness."
